Call me slow but I just watched Pirates of The Caribbean 3 - Dead Man's Chest.

WTF, Will Turner is dead? Or rather Will Turner is now a zombie with a hole in chest where his heart was, only appearing once every 10 years? I don't think the scriptwriter is going to fast-forward 10 years for Orlando Bloom just so he can return like every 2 sequels or something (every sequel is already out of the question since Bloom is confirmed to be MIA for Stranger Tides)? Guess either Orlando Bloom got tired of the franchise or vice versa....

And I nearly died when Jack Sparrow did not appeared most of the first half of the movie, It.Got.So.Draggy.That.I.Wanna.Die. Never thought I will say this but Jack Sparrow makes Johnny Depp lovable. Even my Mum paid extra attention to the "swaying hoppity guy".

Oh, and my Mum was tricked into watching this with me because I told her Chow Yun Fat (Seriously, Fat as a name?) was in the movie. Regretted it though since Chow Yun Fat only appeared for a few scenes therefore Mum keep asking me if he is going appear again and making pretty accurate conclusions like "I guess he isn't the male lead since he did not appear much".

And this sequel kind of make me dislike Elizabeth Swan. How many guys did she kissed in this sequel? First Mr Fat, then the British-looking man who died under the sword of Snr. Turner and then two or three times with Jnr. Turner. Well to be fair, she did pushed one of them away (aka Mr Fat)...but maybe she don't like old asians who looked every bit like a eunuch?

As I mentioned previously, this movie is incredibly draggy - especially the beginning. At the end of one and a half hour, we thought it must had been at least two hours already. However it seems like we both have another one hour and 18 minutes to go. Towards the end it got better though and there were more actions instead of boring yakkity yak.

PPS Fever - Alvin and The Chipmunks

PPS fever continues today. Today its Corpse Bride and Alvin and The Chipmunks.

I watched Corpse Bride years ago in the theaters....I think. If not I can't explain the familiarity of the movie. Its alright, just a little disgusting to watch when having a meal. Especially the ugly maggot.

Alvin and the Chipmunks however is something totally new to me. I remember years ago I used to scoff at people who paid money to watch it in the theaters. Boy was I wrong. Once I started, I can't stop! Theodore is the cutest. Still puzzled why Alvin is the "main chipmunk lead" though. He did nothing really special in the movie. Must be a personal favorite of the script writer.

Dave last job is in an advertising firm! So related to what I just studied!

I discovered this always happens. Things related to my studies usually appears after the entire thing (course and exams) is over. Seldom do things appear in between studies. Not to say they don't though. They do, just SELDOM.

What I Do During Break - June 2010

PPS is a good thing! Been watching so many wonderful stuff on it the past two weeks. So great I decided to rekindle my interest for PPS. Haha~

Fav anime at the mo is “天才宝宝” aka Aka-Chan To Boku and How to train your dragon 3d.
Speaking of "How To Train Your Dragon 3D", really regret no watching in its wonderful true Imax form while its in the theaters. The 3D effects looks damn cool~ Esp the beg where the waves looks like it will splash into your face and the end where Toothless was flying through the rocks.

This time I am going to watch Despicable Me no matter what. If nobody's watching with me I will drag my family along. Bwahahaha~

Breathless from watching War of The Worlds on Channel 5.

Can't believed that it's the 1st time I heard of this movie..it's really truly fantastic!

Although the aliens in this movie look strangely suspicious like the ones in the recent animation movie "Monsters vs Aliens" (or is it the other way round?.....Whatever....).

A quick research using the net uncovers that there are various versions of the movie, all based on the famous sci-fi novel by H G Wells. There's many movie interpretations but the one that I watched just now is the 2005 Tom Cruise version.

Because I only caught glance of it when I am torturing the remote buttons, when I started watching it's already like 45 mins into the show. Okay I admit I stopped switching channels because I saw Tom Cruise. But hey, I never watched ANYTHING with Tom Cruise in it before okay? So I just wanna see what it's like....

All I can say it didn't disappointed.

For those who didn't watched but is planning to watch it later, skip this spoiler:
The ending kinda confuses me. Too much humans are killed so they developed an immunity in their blood to 'deactivate' the shields of the alien tripod robots???!!!! So the morale of the story is? Humans always win even after we are eaten? Or we should get eaten or bullied by aliens more often so that we can develop 'immunities' to them?
